Von Miller’s pregnant girlfriend accuses him of pushing her, putting his hands on her neck

Buffalo Bills edge rusher Von Miller is out on bail because, according to the police, his pregnant girlfriend accused him of pushing her and putting his hands on her neck during an argument at their Dallas residence.

As per the Dallas Police, on the morning of November 29th, around 11 AM, officers were called to the 3100 block of North Harwood Street for a significant disturbance. The police stated, “During the initial investigation, the suspect was identified as 34-year-old Von Miller, and a verbal altercation ensued with the victim, leading the suspect to assault the victim.”

The police mentioned that Miller left the scene before the officers arrived, and an arrest warrant for assault on a pregnant individual, a third-degree felony, was issued. According to our colleagues at KRLD Radio, Miller surrendered to the police in Glenn Heights, Texas, on Thursday afternoon, and after posting a ,000 bond, he was released.

According to the arrest warrant obtained by NBC 5, the woman said that she and Miller were at home on Wednesday when they started arguing around 10:50 AM about when they would travel. When she expressed that she didn’t want to travel on her birthday, she went to an office and closed the door, irritating Miller, who kept telling her to leave.

The woman told the police that he began shoving her and telling her to leave while she was trying to gather her belongings. When she asked to bring her phone and laptop, he took her phone, threw her laptop on the floor, and stepped on it. When she went to pick up her laptop, he allegedly grabbed it, threw it to the ground, and then stepped on it again. When she tried to pick up her hair, he broke a section by pushing her back onto the couch and tugging. It is said that he grabbed her neck with his hands for three or five seconds, then let go.

She said as she again tried to get her things, he grabbed her phone, threw her laptop on the floor and stomped on it. When she tried to reach down to pick it up, she said he pulled her by her hair, which ripped out a chunk and caused her to fall on the ground. She said she was able to start recording on one of her two phones and put it in her pocket before she said he again pushed her onto a couch and put his hands around her neck. When she got up she said she told him she was calling the police and he then left the couple’s home.

Detectives who responded to the call reported that the woman had minor abrasions on her left hand and minor bruising on her neck. It was said that pressure was the cause of these injuries. There were bruises on the woman’s abdomen and left bicep. The woman also provided the footage she had taken, in which Miller is allegedly heard telling her to leave, to the investigators.

In addition to sharing a picture of a positive pregnancy test and text messages with Miller in which they talked about the child’s due date and an impending doctor’s appointment, the woman told police she was six weeks pregnant.

Police verified on Thursday that the woman received minor injuries treatment at home rather than being taken to a hospital.

The case is being sent to the district attorney’s office for prosecution, per the affidavit. The accusations made by Miller’s longtime girlfriend have not been publicly addressed by him or by an attorney or agent acting on his behalf.

DeSoto police released a statement Thursday evening saying:

Von Miller was released from the DeSoto Regional Jail after posting a $5,000 surety bond early Thursday evening. Miller was taken to the jail for booking and processing by Glenn Heights Police after he turned himself in to them Thursday afternoon in response to a warrant for a domestic violence incident that was issued by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.

Miller is a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Broncos and Rams. He grew up in the Dallas suburb of DeSoto and played college football for Texas A&M. He was selected No. 2 overall by the Denver Broncos in the 2011 NFL Draft, is an eight-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time first-team Pro Bowl selection. He signed with the Bills before the 2022 NFL season.

The Bills are on a bye week and it’s unclear what Miller’s status will be with the team. NFL players accused of domestic violence are normally added to the commissioner’s exempt list and are not eligible to play while the accusation is investigated.

“This morning, we were made aware of an incident involving Von Miller. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at this point,” the Bills said in a statement Thursday.

Gyan news tv reported Miller was previously investigated for domestic violence in 2021 but was not charged.

The couple reportedly have two children together.

Dallas Police said the investigation into the allegation is ongoing.
